We're a 17 year old independent shop situated at the gateway to the Peak District offering a carefully selected choice of brilliant books and gorgeous gifts.

We are all facing huge challenges at the moment and books can help. Whether it be for entertainment or educational purposes, a gift or sheer escapism, there's ALWAYS a book standing by. Children's events

From our hugely popular annual Harry Potter Book Night to celebrating Paddington, Elmer and many other book characters over the years, we thoroughly enjoy sharing our love of children's books.

​

Our monthly Bedtime Storytime is a joy. Children come along in their pyjamas with their favourite teddy, rabbit, kangaroo (?) and enjoy being read to from fabulously illustrated picture books washed down with a drink and a biscuit.

BEDTIME STORYTIME

These have been successfully taking place via Zoom every other Thursday at 7pm. It's lovely to see all the children and enjoy a few stories together - as well as the customary drink and a biscuit!
